Explore What Kansas Was Like in Pre-Historic Times During the Savage Ancient Seas Exhibit
Savage Ancient Seas welcomes you to the deep waters of long ago where larger than life beasts fought for dominance. Contrary to popular belief, these creatures were not so far away and definitely not mythical. These seas covered much of what is Kansas and Colorado today! Learn a bit of history and appreciate our modern-day state at this exhibit on Friday, November 16th!
Savage Ancient Seas is the only traveling exhibition featuring the marine fossil world of the Late Cretaceous Period. The exhibit is filled with huge carnivorous marine reptiles, gigantic flesh-eating fish big enough to swallow an adult human, flying reptiles with the wingspan of a small airplane and the biggest sea turtles to have ever lived. Unrivaled for their amazing varieties, voracious appetites, incredible teeth and gaping jaws, the creatures of the Savage Ancient Seas are unlike anything known in today's world!
Come see the current exhibit going on at the Museum at Prairiefire. Learn all about the different forms of life that populated the pre-historic waters. Don't miss this exciting experience, happening through January! Tickets are 10 dollars for adults, 8 dollars for seniors, and 5 dollars for children.
