The latest exhibit to grace the gallery walls of the Garment District Collection is entitled Suiting Up: Tailored Menswear in Kansas City, and invites you to take a step back in time to see the evolution of fashion in the last century.
Suiting Up: Tailored Menswear in Kansas City, 1900-2017 is an exhibition that explores the history and evolution of tailored menswear in Kansas City from the 20th century to the present, and highlights some of Kansas City’s gentlemen of style throughout the last century. Featuring current custom-made looks by Paolini Garment Company alongside historical garments from the Kansas City Museum’s collection, this fascinating show examines the fashion, fit, fabric, and flair of tailored men’s apparel ranging from the classic to the contemporary, and celebrates the resurgence of the modern-day gentleman and his luxury clothier. This exhibition is organized and presented by the Kansas City Museum in partnership with Paolini Garment Company, making in an exclusive, fashion-focused show that you won’t want to miss!
