Do You Like Music? Do You Like Art? Then This Event Will Be Right Up Your Alley
Don’t miss the next installment of the Kemper Museum’s lively social event, “Music and Art at the Museum!” This festive weekend affair hosts a raved-about musical act to celebrate the museum’s all-new, riveting exhibit on display, so be sure to attend this music and art experience!
This event highlights the groundbreaking exhibition entitled Nkame: A Retrospective of Cuban Printmaker Belkis Ayón, a landmark retrospective is the first in the United States dedicated to the work of the late Cuban visual artist who mined the founding myth of the Afro-Cuban fraternal society, Abakuá, to create an independent and powerful visual iconography. You are invited to come explore the awe-inspiring printmaking and create artwork on display while listening to the energetic Kansas City Latin Jazz All-Stars perform songs that reflect the art and history of Salsa and Latin Jazz in Latin America and the United States. This enriching celebration is the perfect social atmosphere for some festive weekend fun, so mark your calendar for “Music and Art at the Museum!”
At The Royale at City Place Apartments in Overland Park, Kansas, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
